General Working Hours:

  • Working hours will change depending on schedule of events. 

  • If there is an event offered by Major Force Lacrosse I am unable to attend, I will participate by helping with the organization of it beforehand.

Compensation:

  • I will be compensated hourly for any coaching activities I complete.

  • Anything outside of coaching activities will not be compensated for.​

Specific Goals I Would Like to Achieve:

  • Professional growth - learn from other coaches

  • Understanding of what goes into leading a club athletic program

  • Learn the best way to recruit athletes to a club lacrosse program

  • Connect what I have learned through my coursework to my internship experience

Main Duties:

  • Assisting in recruitment of club athletes

  • Assisting in logistics of camps & clinics

  • Assisting in registration of coaches

  • Assisting in registration of players

  • Offering recruitment help for players/parents

  • Coaching

  • Check-in at events

​

Expected Learning Outcomes:

  • Apply managerial knowledge, ethics, professionalism, and leadership in a meaningful supervised practical experience at a sport organization.

  • Analyze scholarly articles exploring the mentorship relationship and its value in service industries.

  • Demonstrate attitudes conducive to effective interpersonal relationships.

  • Establish career strategies by exploring work situations.

  • Analyze leadership styles and traits of a sport industry professional.

  • Develop an appreciation for the mentorship relationship in the sport industry.
